CBA Sponsors Ten More Students Through the Palmhouse Foundation

In our continued partnership with the Palmhouse Foundation, we have taken up the responsibility to educate 10 more students this year. The beneficiaries 4 years secondary education is fully catered for through a Ksh. 3.2 Million sponsorship.

In a send-off event held on 9th of January 2017 at the All Saints Cathedral Church in Nairobi, the students were handed over their school fees cheques and sent-off to commence their first term in Secondary School.

Speaking at the event on behalf of other corporate sponsors, Mr. Chris Pasha, CBA Group Head of Marketing and Communications thanked the board of trustees of the Palmhouse foundation for the relentless effort in uplifting the lives of disadvantaged students. He also conveyed CBA’s commitment to helping transform the lives of bright and needy students.

“We started by sponsoring one student per year in 2007 and to date, this number has grown exponentially to 10 students per year. We not only support the children financially but members of our staff also take the time to talk to them by participating in the mentorship programme” Mr. Pasha remarked.

He added that CBA invites the students annually to its headquarters to meet staff members and also get to learn about the organization and the financial industry.

CBA has had a long cordial relationship with the Palmhouse foundation and this is the second year in a row that CBA is sponsoring 10 students. This is after we announced an increase in our secondary school sponsorship programme from Kshs.1.2 million annually to Kshs.3.2 million in 2016.

Through this partnership, CBA has been able to assist deserving students to realize their dreams, transform their lives, their families and society. Our aim as well is to nurture a generation of change-makers to build up their communities and the country.

With this year’s sponsorship, CBA cements its commitment to each year sponsor the education of 10 bright students throughout their four years in Secondary school.
