Good Samaritan Children’s Home 2016

In support of Good Samaritan Children Home and Rehabilitation Center, we have embarked on a fundraising initiative to help the orphaned and abandoned children at the center. Through various staff activities we hope to raise enough money for this worthy and deserving cause.

The children shelter located in Mathare Valley near the Kosovo slum, was started in 1991. Over the years, the home has provided care for thousands of abandoned, neglected and molested children. The children are educated from primary school through to higher education.

At the moment, the home houses 420 children some as young as a year old. There are 40 babies and Nursery School children, 170 pupils in Primary School, 150 students in Secondary School and 60 in Universities or Colleges.

These are the most needed items

  • Expansion of the home
  • Food
  • Borehole
  • School fees and uniforms
  • Books to equip the library
  • School Bus

What is the target?

The immediate need for the Home is KES 4,250,000. With the Bank pledging a shilling for every shilling raised, we have an overall target of KES 2,125,000 to be raised by 31st October 2016.

Let's give these children hope, support and the opportunity they need to reach their potential. A little help will go a long way in making a child's life better!
